Aperture
One of the most brilliant pieces of software I’ve ever bothered to try. It makes producing software so amazingly easy, and I haven’t even scratched the surface of it yet. The only question that needs to be asked is if it’s any better than Adobe Lightroom which I’m downloading the demo now. I’ll do a comparison when I’ve made my judgements.
Sick Party
Had a great time last night at Matty’s 18th. Loads of Beer, loads of money spent, loads of dancing (i’ll post a funny youtube vid up later of Mr Rothery and Mr OBrien been a bit merry) Also met in the flesh Mr Porteus who I’ve been following on Tumblr for yonks. Hiya Tom - www.outofreach.co.uk :P

The MacBook is Here!!!
I’m so happy :) I’ll speak more of the matter when I’ve calmed down.
The Pownce Trial is Officially Over.
Well that was fun.. If they won’t allow the entire post to be entered in to the RSS feed I have no use for it as it won’t make any sense on Tumblr. Sorry Pownce guys!
Let the Pownce Trials Begin!
Even though there is little evidence to suggest it, I am a huge fan of Twitter. It’s beautiful thing that shows the true power of simplicity and couldn’t be improved upon….or can it? Well the lads and lasses at Pownce have decided they’ll give it a shot. So far (well, three posts into it) I’m liking it. The more expanded use that Pownce gives are quite appealing to...

Stuff to do/get for Mac OS X Leopard.
Since my new computer is on its way, I thought it best to compile a list of apps/hacks/tricks that should make my Leopard experience ten times better. Lifehacker.com: Customise your Mac with Leopard Power Tweaks Skitch Public Beta: I was lucky enough to be part of the private beta and loved every moment with it installed. Download Quicksilver: It’s the most interesting, most brilliant, most...

Dad's are so stupid: His reaction to my new...
Me: It's an Apple MacBook and it cost nearly a grand.
Dad: You must be crazy spending that kind of money!
Me: For a laptop of this spec, it isn't really Dad.
Dad: Oh! Sorry, I thought it was a new iPod!
I've just bought a new Apple Notebook.
Yes, it’s being shipped today thank god! By next week I’ll have a new Apple Notebook full of its OS X goodness. I’ve been holding out for MacWorld before I thought about spending any money so as to know what new products Mr. Jobs would announce for this year. He came out with some really good stuff. Time Capsule, major iPhone/iPod Touch firmware updates, Apple TV Take 2 and, of...

"Theres something in the air.." - Your bloody well...
I’ll get straight to the point. There have been rumours over this subnotebook mac for yonks now. They all thinks it’s going to be called the MacBook Air. Which makes sense with the MacWorld banners n’all. Now head over to www.macbookair.com, interesting isn’t it? 18 hours to go…..

This Weeks Worst Bits
Nowlt, I’ve a sound week this week and couldn’t be happier. :)
This Weeks Best Bits
Going back to school: It was quite cool to get back to the grind this week. I’ll probably hate by this Tuesday. No Work: Due to weird contract type thingies, I ain’t been working which is cool. Discovering Google Groups: You have a problem? Google Groups will help you with it. Hacking my iPod: If I’d of known what great things could come of it, I would of hacked it months ago....
Google Groups: They are the most incredible things...
If you have a Gmail account and haven’t really played about with the other Google services, I strongly recommend that you try out Google Groups. Granted, it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I have found it so helpful to use these groups to discuss and help out others. It’s still all very new to me so I’m not really going to go into it here, but try it out especially...
The Internet: Home to sources of joy and humour.
This one not so much.. Funny? NO. Ironic? Yes. Is irony a humourous thing? You bet..

My Jailbroken iPod Touch
After little persuasion from my friend Riece, I jailbroke my iPod Touch. I know it’s a little silly with Apple’s iPhone/Touch SDK being released so soon, (I know it’s February, but what date precisely?) but it’s so easy to ‘un-jailbreak’ it at that time that I thought I might as well go for it. If anything it gives me a very good taste of what’s to come...
OSX
Long live OSX! Yeah, I installed Ubuntu and after playing with it for a few hours there were some minor annoyences, that I couldn’t find fixes for, that was making it an unenjoyable expereience. Sio I reformated to fix the partitions and installed Mac OSX a-fresh. It’s simple and enjoyable to use… apart from finder. Adium & Growl & Quicksilver & Camino & Lovely...
The New Setup
So Sam has just bought my Mac Mini from me. Which is good because now I have more money in my pocket. The problem I have now is that I’m not enjoying the new setup at all. Firstly, I’m now on Windows XP. I hate it. It’s annoying me. It does werid things. Too many “you’ve never used a computer in your life” type prompts. My printer doesn’t just plugin and...
2007
Its over. That was a quick one wasn’t it? No seriously, what the hell happened to this year? I’m at that age where you look back on the year and contemplate for while before saying to all your drunk friends, “It was quite brilliant this year wasn’t it?” then for you all to clink beer bottles in celebration of what a year it was and for a prosperous new year...
