The Magnetic Man band member and La Roux remixer, real name Ollie Jones, will release the album ‘Outside The Box’ on July 26.
Skream’s remix of ‘In For The Kill’ was a big nightclub hit in the U.K, and I really did enjoy the minimalist sound he gave to it. However, it was spoilt massively by a universal over-playing by the country. Along with that track I enjoyed his remix of the Klaxon’s ‘It’s Not Over Yet’ and original track ‘Midnight Request Line’, as it doesn’t rely massively on the massive bass-drops and instead allows more melodic lines to carry the music.
I’m looking forward to hearing what this rising star in the dubstep production scene can produce.
